Jessica Woods Law

Colorado Family Law Attorney

Jessica is a licensed attorney and is in good standing in both the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of Colorado. About Jessica Woods Law

Jessica graduated from the University of Maryland College Park in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in English & Communication, and from the George Mason University School of Law in 2011 with a Juris Doctor.

While in law school, she was chosen to be a Research Editor for the George Mason University School of Law’s Journal of Law, Economics, and Public Policy. She was also a research assistant for a law professor, she clerked for the United States Senate Finance Committee’s Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee, and she also clerked for The Honorable Janine Saxe in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Jessica’s combination of public policy and private practice gives her a unique perspective on the law. She has worked with and understands the complexities and nuances of Congress and federal agencies, and has years of experience in private practice with small and solo firms. In every position she’s held, she quickly established herself as a reliable, go-to for quick and accurate legal research and memoranda. After being recognized for these skills, Jessica was asked to be the lead associate in researching, drafting, editing, and publishing a Petition to the Supreme Court, which was granted certiorari in 2013.

She belongs to the Federalist Society, the Virginia Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, Colorado Women’s Bar Association, the Vail Valley Businesswomen’s Association, and the Vail Valley Young Professionals.

In her spare time, she loves skiing, running, camping and hiking with her husband and their dogs Fergus and Calvin, drinking good wine, and rooting for all of her beloved Maryland sports teams.
